If any diabetes patient wants to lower down the risk of cardiovascular, he/she can take Viagra. If, we estimate the rate of diabetes than, it affects 29.1 million people in the USA.

Yes, Generic Viagra can lower down the risk of heart attack. As per the new study revealed, men with type 2 diabetes may take Viagra (erectile dysfunction drug).  This researched was held by Prof. Andrew Trafford, from the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Manchester.

According to the statement provided by Prof. Trafford, “Our laboratory work was pointing us towards the potential benefits of these erectile dysfunction treatments on the heart so it’s reassuring to learn that they could reduce heart attack risk and improve heart attack survival in people with diabetes.”

The most common form of diabetes is Type 2 in which a patient’s pancreas is either inefficient to create enough insulin or body is unable to use that insulin. However, due to the incomplete insulin cycle, the blood glucose levels become too high. As high blood glucose level is more likely to break the nerves.

Apart from this, there are chances of low physical activity, high cholesterol, obesity. All these health conditions increase the risk of heart attack.

Trafford about the research further included, “Having diabetes is a major risk factor for heart disease so any treatments that could reduce that risk are urgently needed. Erectile dysfunction treatments like Viagra are already licensed for use so, if clinical trials provide further evidence of a life-saving benefit, it might be possible to start treating people with this drug in the not too distant future.”
